Our History
With the constantly increasing number of Sudanese immigrant families in Edinburgh, the urgent need for a Sudanese school to teach Arabic and national culture has grown to connect the Sudanese children with their roots and extended families in Sudan and reinforce the Sudanese identity. The school started with one class of Sudanese pupils. Then, after completing the first year successfully, the number of pupils increased, the number of grades reached four and the number of pupils reached fifty pupils, which in turn necessitated the registration of the school officially in 2012 as a charity association affiliated to Oscar Organization (Charity Organizations Registration Office in Scotland).

These activities support children’s physical well-being, social development, and real-world learning, helping them build confidence, teamwork skills, and a strong sense of community.
